Kayes, don't you think the rear of this Spider looks better than the front? Perhaps I'm not fond of too much chrome.

hi Blue Grass, I like the rear better too Smile Like you say, less chrome and cleaner lines. This Giulietta Spider belongs to someone in KL. Eddie Tan, the former Sales Manager of City Motors, KL had one for several years. He has sold the car which is now owned by a doctor in Malacca. You certainly know your cars, Blue Grass.

I love cars but I'm not sure I have the passion and the patience to restore old classic ones. What cars do you think are still worth restoring these days Kayes, taking into consideration spare parts and experienced mechanics I reckon.

Restoring a vintage/classic car can get very personal. First, it could be a question of taste and preference and second, it could be an "inherited" car. MGs, Mercedes, 105 series Alfa coupes etc are popular. There are plenty of local mechanics who are specialised enough to undertake a restoration job. Spare parts can be obtained. It is a question of whether locally or from overseas and of course, the former is cheaper. Check out my Vintage/Classic car forum where a lot of trading in spare parts and cars are done. It is at:-

As age catches up I find I have less energy to restore a car. Whatever energy I have left I put in to better use Smile That's why I love my Smart.
