Just to the right of this picture Kayes is the original 'Cold Storage' We think that in the early days was the only place n Penang that you could buy frozen food.

hi Derrick, Cititel (on right of pic) which is adjacent to Town House Hotel now stands on the land where the former Cold Storage Creameries was. The Cold Storage Supermarket was another 100m up along the same side of the road and opposite Hotel Malaysia. The building that housed the supermarket is still there.

Some time back, we parked our car at this car park and walked to Line Clear for Nasi Kandar. We saw a dirty looking fluffy dog next to this parking "pondok". It looked like a runaway dog so we asked the parking attendant whose dog was that? She claimed the dog was hers.

Disappointed to find Hameediyah Nasi Kadar was closed for seven days while we were in Penang recently. Mammak shop closed for seven days?!
