Hi, Kayes.

Great pics of the Thai Temple which looks so beautifully-maintained. Is this the temple that has a big Buddha as you enter, with numerous smaller Buddhas placed around the walls and behind? Or am I confusing it with another Thai temple somewhere else? It's been more than 35 years since I last visited any of the temples (with the exception of Kek Lok Si) in Penang so the old memory is a bit dodgy. Smile

The faces of these two figures out the front somehow make me think of the "Hark Meen Sun" (Black-faced God) at the Snake Temple (famous for its docile pit vipers). Do you also have pics of the Snake Temple as well as the Kuan Yin Temple?

hi Phoebe, you are right, this is the Thai Temple along Burmah Lane that has the big Reclining Buddha. Directly opposite this Thai Temple is the Burmese Temple. Over at Perak Road is another smaller Thai Temple. I do have pics of the Kuan Yin Temple in George Town and also the Snake Temple in Bayan Lepas. I have posted some pics of these temples elsewhere at Penang Talk.
