Open House ..... to be welcomed with open arms. Thumbs Up!

This lady's dressing makes me miss someone very dear to me! Sad Reading broadsheet or non-tabloid sized newspaper on the floor seems to be the perfect choice for this lady.

The read metal container with holes on the walkway near the main door to this house is used for burning paper offerings. It is done usually during major festivals and during 1st & 15th day of every lunar month. Di Zhu God's tablet is placed on the floor - right behind this lady. The big red/gold sticker at the top of this tablet dictates Di Zhu God or Di Zhu Gong is to welcome prosperity. Since we were kids, we were warned not to play anything (fruits or any offerings) from Di Zhu Gong's alter. If we do so, we would get tummy ache. It is so warned perhaps it's because Di Zhu Gong's altar must be placed on the floor and it's easily be reached by children. Instead of playing with the offerings at the Di Zhu Gong's altar, kids are told to pray to the Di Zhu Gong by pressing two palms together and with feet side-by-side.

A very candid shot with interesting caption!
