Hi penangtalkers, can anyone enlighten me about the exact location of this bus stop? If I'm not mistaken right behind this is a snack shop selling Penang specialties such as "tau sar peah", dried, processed cuttlefish, the many derivatives of nutmeg and all sorts of "kiam sng tee".
Being an out-of towner, have been to this shop for the past 2 years and grabbed a bunch of these snacks each time to lug home for kith & kin. Smile

Also being an"out-of-towner" I have walked Penang Road many times. It is opposite the large Police Station, blue and white, in the background.

and there's some really nice tasting wok-steamed ground nut, and jackfruit nut on takeaway sale on the next corner.

Indeed, this bus stop is across from the police building thai is commonly referred to as 'sei fong lou' (square building in cantonese dialect). Kayes, if I am not mistaken, the famous coffee shop 'Kek Seng' is further down the road, towards the left of this picture. Am I right? My office was on Penang Road and I would walk in that direction towards 'Kek Seng' for lunch. Yummy, one of the best Kway Teow Tung, Popiah and Ice Kacang in the city.
