George Town Heritage Day is on 7 July 2015 but the celebrations have already started. This morning at Beach Street saw fun and games. I was there for a short while.

Plenty of trishaws at the ready.

This trishaw has the lines of a Ferrari.

http://penangnewspaper.com/pics9/pgheritage15.jpg

Pedalling a trishaw is really tough work and so trishaw pedlars need to relax whenever they can.

I suppose these trishaws are insured by AIG.

http://penangnewspaper.com/pics9/pgheritage22.jpg

Will such contraptions put the trishaws out of business soon?

There was a durian feast later in the day but I couldn't wait.

After the durian feast you will need a trishaw to chauffeur you home.

There were many stalls. This is a well deserved one.

You don't need expensive equipment to make music.

I've never seen another western person at Occupy Beach St. They need to advertise it better. There are some unique items for sale. Plus it starts early when the street is still in the shade from the buildings.

hi cope, that morning I saw only one "Western tourist" and he looked to me like a serious (or professional) photographer Smile We said "hi" to each other.
