Is that a Freemason Lodge? Heard a lot about Freemason but it's still very mysterious .....


To me, the members are always smartly dressed and the building and the furniture are neat and orderly. Everything looks grand and yet I can't believe the members frequent hawker stall - perhaps the hawker stall was catered to serve food at the lodge during a gathering? Curious, very curious indeed ..... Smile

Orange, the Freemason's "uniform" is a tuxedo and so it is unavoidable that they are always smartly dressed except for those with rounded stomachs due to too much good food. Sometimes Masonic meetings end well past midnight and so you might see groups of Masons patronising popular hawker spots in KL, Penang and Ipoh. The hawker in the pic above was at the Masonic Hall in Penang. Pic below shows me giving a speech after a Masonic function. I am the one on the .....

Ha ha Kayes, obviously the most 'Liang Chai' one in this pic. lah or to be precise, the master for '83 and '84. Smile Thumbs Up!

The "Muhibbah" spirit is clearly shown in the second last pic. from bottom where the three smartly dressed members are seen talking to each other, next to the hawker stall. A perfect and timely pic. to depict the racial harmony in our country. It's more so as today, Sept. 16 is Malaysia Day. Happy Malaysia Day to all!!
