The stage was set for a Wushu performance but I was too early. In the background is a row of heritage shophouses along Armenian Street. Usually these heritage shophouses are all identical in rows but this row seems to be different where the shophouses vary in width, height and design. It could be due to renovations but I think not. Armenian Street is one of the oldest streets in George Town and I believe those shophouses were added on, one by one and that accounts for the different kinds of architecture.

Clever angle! The owners of heritage buildings in S'pore are responsible to upkeep and maintain the frontage of their heritage buildings. The interior of the building can be as messy as one wishes - after all no fine is imposed for not maintaining the interior of those heritage buildings.


These plastic stools with various colours are creatively captured and it looks like a repetitive art. Brilliant!!
