And the Beauty Queens are busy, very busy - choosing, bargaining, worrying if their choices are right ..... Smile

With all the gestures and expressions on each and everyone captured on this pic., this is perfect piece for school students to write essays. There are baskets, motorcycle, attractive clothings for sale, fancy signcrafts on the shop pillars, shop roller shutter is still down ..... Let me quess - it's before 9a.m. Smile

*New clothes for the New Year: That stack of 50 Ringgit note is more than enough to buy 13 pairs of floral short shorts. One pair of new shorts for each and every day of the New Year - no shorts are needed for Valentine's day and Chap Goh Mei. He he he

*New Year Cakes or Nien Koh: When choosing Nien Koh, the most risen (or the highest) Nien Koh is always preferred. Promotion, status in society, wealth will be higher ..... When making Nien Koh, no pregnant ladies are allowed in the kitchen. It's a taboo - according to our elders. To all pregnant mums: That means less work and time to relax! Why NOT! Smile

*Kum is a must: The choice is between Kum and golden pumpkin. Both are GOLD. Kum or golden pumpkin ..... Golden Pumpkin or Kum ..... Kum or Golden Pumpkin .....

*Lottery for Fatt Choy: Lots of Lady Luck here!!

*Pineapples bring prosperity: These pineapples will sure bring prosperity when they turn yellow (Wong Lai)!

*Everything looks shapely here: Those on the newspaper as well as the one holding newspaper! Smile A very candid shot with cheeky caption! Smile Smile

Pics. posted on August 3 2011:

*At 4.22pm - The lady (left of this pic.) who is standing in front of that two trays of Mo Chi seems to be asking herself: "How many to get?" Mo Chi is my all-time favourite and is indeed hard to come by, it's more so in KL. Wondering if this Mo Chi seller willing to courier them here. Smile

*At 4.25pm - This "Zebra" is interested to buy fishes and prawns. Ka ka ka

*At 4.27pm - The tin with Jawi printed on it acts as a Cash Register for this Vegetarian Char Beehoon seller. Very vintage and very Malaysian too!

*At 4.33pm - Wow those shoes are trendy and up-to-date esp. the wedge shoes (1 black & 1 white, second row from left and nearer to the camera) which come complete with diamonds on the wedge heels. Vincci, Nose, Sembonia, Bonia MOVE ASIDE!! Smile Now I know why Penang is Jimmy Choo's hometown - Penangites LOVE shoes!

*At 4.36pm - Papaya from our backyard garden are much BIGGER ka ka ka ..... THOUSAND APOLOGIES to this fruit seller who is holding a bagful of mangosteens!!

*At 4.39pm - White seems to be the 'common colour' - white shoes, white three-quarter pants, white Pagoda T-shite. Friends told me white female shoes are for weddings only! The lady who is sitting on the chair is wearing a pair of white shoes. It looks to me she loves that pair of white shoes very much - so much so she wears them to her work place. They must be her wedding shoes! Smile Her pair of white shoes look well maintained and without any trace of dirt. Not interested to know how does she manage to keep those white shoes so white and clean ..... after all, I don't have any white shoes to start with! He he he

Second last pic. from bottom: For any inner wear or nightclothes, thing we fear most is "stain". And they are selling these stuffs right in front of a fresh meat shop. They have no worries about splashes of blood staining those inner wears and nightclothes. They dare to take up the challenge to prove to their customers that the stuffs they are selling are "Stain-Resistible"!! Smile
