The contrasting foreground lends Kek Lok Si an almost dollhouse-like look in this pic. Oh, I sure miss those "tau sar" biscuits.

The big names in Tau Sar Pneah in Penang are still Ghee Hiang and Him Heang. I wonder the ad in pic is advertising which brand. Maybe I will go there and buy a box and try. You can get good laksa at the coffee shop straight ahead, where the red cloth is.

The only brand of "dau sar bang" I can remember is Aun Thye (of Cockman Street in Ipoh).
Oh, are you, by chance, referring to the famous Air Itam laksa? Drats, my tummy just did a flip at the thought of that yummy laksa.

I think there are three places in Air Itam that serves the famous "Air Itam laksa" and each has its followers. The other two are at a coffee shop near the police station and the one inside the Air Itam market.

Oh, thanks for the heads up about the three different "Air Itam Laksa" stalls which I am not aware of. I've only ever eaten at the one inside the market.
