Kayes, is this a temple of sorts? Despite the Chinese characters on the front of the building, the carvings are not "typically Chinese" in character as such. It doesn't help that I can't read Chinese to save myself. Smile

This is an intriguing building Kayes. It does not look like a temple but I am guessing this may have been the private place of ancestral worship for the wealthy Peranakan family next door.

Blue Grass, indeed it is. Chung Thye Pin (aka Kapitan Chung) used to stay next door.
