Many of my childhood sweets can be found here.  Thanks Kayes for sharing. Still guessing what is that stainless steel container on the left of this pic.? Notice the name of this shop - "Soon Hin" is also printed in Jawi on the signboard.

Thanks Kayes for the clarification. Earlier on, I presumed this church shares the same compound with St. Xavier's Inst., based on the name. Hope someone will shed some light about the gravestone at the entrance of this church. Thanks again for this pic. and the caption.

hello Orange, St Xavier's Institution and the Francis Xavier Church are two different entities. The former is a school while the latter is a church. The church is right next to Cititel (on the right facing Cititel) and you need to walk through a narrow lane to see the church and the St Joseph's Boys Home. |

Curious to know more about this. Wonder why this is allowed - "many people would have stepped on it"? Isn't this church nearer to Bayview than Cititel since St. Xavier Inst. is almost opposite to Bayview? |

View from the top ..... AWESOME! The clouds, sea, ships and green were all professionally captured. Congrats!! Those five metal chairs were cleverly included and they look inviting enough but they were not there when we were up in Penang Hill last year. Sigh ..... Love to sit on one of these and enjoy the beautiful view and dreammmmm |
