yes those "Cheap Matinees" of 50c was something I also look forward to.Met alot of dates and I had a fetish for pony tails..they were so dainty.. I also had quite a few girls phoning me for dates those days, and met them on blind dates. So those yesteryears were innocent but no different from now.
Rex cinema had very good laksa then and packed full of people.I can remember that poh pniah too. The best poh pniah in my opinion is at the Padang Brown, Anson/Perak road where the old man then, would have large pieces of crab meet well arranged and his poh pniah melts in the mouth. I have not had better ones. Poh Chan must share with us the info as to that mee rebus. Kayes wants this forum to be from those who can still reminesce about old Penang before our alzheimers set in. |
