I came across the same issue so i did check with JPJ and its very tedious process. You would have to trace back the family of the deceased owner whom they would have to get the car transferred under their name first through Amanah Raya of which they need the Letter of Authority issued by court which they may have and then get them to transfer the car ownership back to you. Its a lot of hassle though..
