hello Mint, Abarth is the racing arm of Fiat and most of the "performance" Fiats carry the name Abarth together with its logo, which is the picture of a scorpion. I suppose it is to show that those cars sting :-) In the case of the new 2009 Fiat 500 Abarth, in addition to the word "Abarth" being displayed, a big picture of a scorpion is airbrushed on the bonnet, as seen in the European version of the car. Looks really cool to me. In the case of the Fiat you saw at the Curve, if there is no picture of a scorpion or the word "Abarth" on the car, then it is most likely the standard Fiat 500. Pic below shows the Abarth logo.
