Ben I used to own a 1957 Fiat 500. I bought it from a KL lawyer in 1992. It was in fair running condition but I put in about RM6k to do it up to my liking. I sold it to a friend in 1995. I think it is now in Butterworth. It was a fun car to drive. It was the earlier model with the suicide doors which would fling open when you took a corner hard. I had great fun hunting for spare parts in the country. Found quite a lot in Penang itself and also Taiping and Ipoh. But the treasure trove was in Malacca. A chap who owned an antique shop there also had a 500 of the same vintage and he had body parts stashed away!!! I like the new Fiat 500 Abarth and it is on my wish list.
