... here's my 2 cents worth on your attitude towards others in this forum, have some respect, all these belittling of others is in no way apppreciated. Grow up and be more constructive in your comments and avoid name calling which is way too childish and uncalled for. To make matters worse, you are currently repeating yourself like a broken record to a tune which is getting quite annoying. To kayes: Sorry for voicing out in such a direct manner, but in other forums, cyber's attitude would be called 'flamming' something considered not too welcomed in the spirit of being part of a forum. Back to the topic. Bargaining to reach an agreeable price is subjective to the owner's valuation, condition of the car and the willingness to pay of the buyer. Actually, as revealed previously, there are holes on floor board which could be rust or could be holes drilled to drain the car after flood damage. Dato to shed more light on this? I did not have the chance to see the car when I was back in Malaysia let alone tender an offer and I wish the seller best of luck. At a price of 60k with an engine overhaul and bearing replacement needed, the finished car would soon be in the price range of a concourse queen without the actual finish or condition to match. Interesting project car if it sells anywhere 30-40k but the additional 20k is what is needed at least for the engine rebuilt (and parts replacement) if you are to go with a proper job. I am still looking for my first 40k purchase, and I am not shy to admit, it would be my first classic purchase. I do however have in hand a 70's/80's 2 door Isuzu Tropper with a soft top, apparently only 2 units in the country, kinda makes it a modern classic and rare eh? It's a hand-me-down and I drove it to school while in form 5 and 6 and it did attract a lot of attention and was monickered "The Terrorist's car". There were offers for it, but for all the wrong reasons, some hunter wanted it as his hunt vehicle and although the money was good, no deal was done! :) Cheers all, till the next thread and have a good day. Regards,
p/s: Anyone frequents Murni in SS2? There are 2 very nicely done (some say over the top) BJ40's always parked in front of the shop which I suspect are the owner's vehicles. |
