if i may make another comment or two !, i think mudah has had a hand in this price spiral, with rough cars at crazy prices, they disapear after the advert expires but people hear of the 'value' of their old wreck and then advertise it for a little more than the other car....the fact that the first one did not sell is not known, as the advert just gets deleted by mudah.............. the other inflationary force was the proton trade in deal...anything that even ran was worth 5k....that is now stuck in the minds of people with older cars even though the deal has ended...... when it comes to the 'value' or the price asked, IF the car is complete down to the last trim item and has no major local modifications i personally would pay over the odds, malaysia is not the easiest place to properly restore a car, and the small missing items may be impossible to source....both of my recently purchased Fiats were bought on those criteria....although the owner of my coupe actually DROPPED the price i offered as he knew what was involved in properly restoring the car.. good cars, or rare cars will always demand a premium price, its up to the buyer to decide what quality he is happy to settle for. buy the best, its the cheapest way in the long run.
